As a new series of CSI kicks off, Marg Helgenberger – who plays stripper-turned-criminalist Catherine Willows – has a great story to illustrate the show’s appeal. While doing research for the first series she was called to a burglary at the house of an elderly couple. “They weren’t your average couple,” grins Marg. “They had adult toys all over the house and I ended up having to take prints from one of those toys! But that’s the thing with that job – and the show – you never know what you’re going to find.”
And that’s especially true of this week’s episode. Nick and Sara get all X Files when they’re handed a case involving an alien body found in Area 51, and Catherine’s investigation into the murder of a stripper stalls when the man found with her can’t remember a thing…
