Clip opens with Marg and Julie Chen walking on the beach.
Marg: I gotta say, I like having the mornings to exercise and being with family and this and that.
Julie: Against the backdrop of a sunny California beach, talk turned inlay to the dark world of crime. Actress Marg Helgenberger has been gathering evidence regarding the new season of CSI.
Julie: Do you find that you are getting scripts that still surprise you or still, like, shock you or gross you out?
Marg: Yes. I would say to some of the writers, producers, ‘Boy this really is a dark tale. How did you guys come up with this one?’ They said, ‘it’s a true story.’

Julie: Tonight the crack team of forensic investigators tracks a serial killer.
Marg: I get a big kick out of going on location, even if it’s a land fill. Climbing up a mound of real garbage, just because it’s sort of odd.
Julie: From the gore of a crime scene to the glamour of the red carpet

Julie: Part of seeing a beautiful successful actress in Hollywood is the whole dress up thing. Do you enjoy that?
Marg: You feel sort of like a princess. That you get to wear this dress that can cost upwards of whatever ten, twenty thousand dollars. And you get out there and the paparazzi are out there snapping away. It can be actually very humbling. Say, you arrive and they’re like ‘Marg, Marg!’ and they’re taking your picture. And then here comes Sarah Jessica Parker and they’re like… (Marg makes a motion like the paparazzi moving onto another to photograph).
Julie: What is unglamorous that we see you doing on the show is…you definitely mastered putting on those latex rubber gloves, or have you?
Marg: I can do it better than anybody. It’s true. Pretty much. It’s the guys who actually need assistance putting them on.

Marg: I’ve been very blessed in television. And the best stuff I’ve done has been after I hit forty. Hey, I put it out there…

Julie: Marg is married to fellow actor Alan Rosenberg, one of the stars on CBS’s The Guardian.
Marg: I like to think we have our priorities straight. You know, our son is of top priority. And we have been very, you know, employed for as long as we’ve been employed. By CBS, I might add.
Julie: That’s right.

Julie: Her character’s combination of beauty and brains has brought the actress two Emmy nominations, as well as a loyal following of fans
Marg: The little girls that come up to me on the street. Who would think somebody my age would be a role model for a ten year old? But to me that’s, like, so touching that I have that impact. And they, well, ‘we like you because you’re strong and smart.’
Julie: And you’re pretty.
Marg: ‘I wanna be a criminalist.’ Yeah, sometimes they say, ‘I like your wardrobe.’
