ENTERTAINMENT STUDIOS – TRANSCRIPT OF MARG’S INTERVIEW
Unknown 2003
Byron: It’s great to see you because I haven’t seen you in so long. I remember when we first met. You did the Byron Allen show.
Marg: In eighty…I bet it was ’88 or ’89.
Byron: Oh I can tell you exactly when it was. It was 1989 and you were talking about a show called China Beach.
Marg: That’s right. Yes because it was when I was with China Beach. That was before I was married, before I had a son. You are going way back.
Byron: I’m going way back. Now see what happens when you do my show. See you get married, you have a kid and then you get another hit show. See how it works.
Marg: I know, I know.
Byron: It’s just like one, two, three step back.
Marg: What’s next? Here we’re meeting again after all these years. What do you think next? An Oscar?
Byron: An Oscar, a major motion picture. I mean I saw you in Erin Brockovich. But I mean, like major.
Marg: Recording contract?
Byron: Yeah, and hip hop recording artist, rap star, country music star, NBA superstar, two hundred million dollar deal. When you do this show, this is what happens to you. This is all the things I predict for you in the future.
Byron: Where are you from originally?
Marg: I am from a very small town in Nebraska called North Bend.
Bryon: Now here you are, a little girl growing up in this town. How do you get the idea to go off to Hollywood and become a big movie star?
Marg: I didn’t really have that idea.
Byron: No.
Marg: No, not really. Not till I got older, I guess. Older as in nineteen or something like that. But I mean, you know, it just wasn’t anything that seemed feasible. I don’t even know if I really, I guess I maybe fantasized about it. But I don’t really recall fantasizing about it until I was older.
Byron: The soap opera, which soap opera were you on?
Marg: I was on a show called Ryan’s Hope. It’s gone now. Gone but not forgotten.
Byron: Yes, Gone but not forgotten. I’m sorry. Soap fans are the coolest fans, because they remember everything. Every line, every story line.
Marg: They are very devoted.
Byron: Yeah. Now what did you play?
Marg: I played a cop on the show. I seem to always to be in some, I don’t know, some kind of law enforcement.
Byron: Right.
Marg: I play a lot of those. I played a lot of detectives, cops, and now a criminalist.
Byron: There you go. And for the three people who haven’t seen your show, tell them what CSI is all about.
Marg: You mean there are people who haven’t seen CSI?
Byron: Three.
Marg: Okay, for you three. You don’t know what you’re missing.
Byron: Now see what happens when you’re on our show. Look at that, Look at that. Husband, kid, hit show. Now this is it. You’re on your way to getting an NBA contract.
Marg: I know. I’m waiting… I’m just awaiting what’s gonna happen next.
