2/7/10: CSI 10×13 Internal Combustion: “Driving crazy fast on an open road”
The CSI writers delivered yet another classic episode to its viewers this week. Anyone who enjoys CSI ‘family’ moments is sure to enjoy this one: playful banter between Sara and Nick, Greg talking about stealing Papa Olaf’s car and taking it out for a joyride when he was twelve, and Archie and Wendy mocking Hodges relentlessly. My favorite moment was, without a doubt, the last scene of the episode when Catherine and Nick have an impromptu mini drag race in the CSI parking garage at the end of their shift. I loved the echo back to their first drag race in Season 3’s ‘Revenge Is Best Served Cold’. Those two are a lot of fun together so I love that they are now ‘Mom and Dad’ of the CSI family.
Because of the Olympics, we will not have another new episode until mid March, so please enjoy the items from this episode in the meantime and look forward to additional site updates. I won’t let you go into Marg withdrawals 😉

Thanks so much to the ladies at What A Pair! for uploading this fantastic short clip of Marg and Diana Harris singing “My Man Rocks/Rock Me Baby” at What A Pair! 5 in 2007. They sound amazing together and I’m actually blown away by what a lovely voice Marg has. Is there anything she can’t do? 🙂

2/4/10: Young girl needs a bone marrow donor
This is obviously not at all Marg-related, but it’s too important not to post. A friend and member of my forum, Cameron, has asked for help in spreading the word about 8 year-old Natalie Nakatani. Because Cameron’s message is so poignant in its own right, I’ll simply share her words with you rather than try to summarize them. All I’ll add is to please do anything that you possibly can to help save this little girl’s life.
Hi all, I’m not really sure if this is an appropriate spot for this, and I really hate mass calls for help but we really need to find a match.
A little girl that I take care of and care very much about is in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant. She has already gone through chemo once and was in remission when her leukemia came back and now her only hope after more chemo is to get a bone marrow transplant immediately after the chemo. Please if you are of Asian descent or know anyone let them know. They can register with the bone marrow donor list and get a kit sent to you anywhere.

2/1/10: Marg on the cover of the March 2010 issue of Prevention Magazine!
She’s known for her dazzling red locks and porcelain glow, but this TV and film veteran’s true beauty comes from within.
At 51, Marg Helgenberger is newly single after splitting from her husband of nearly 20 years – and feeling utterly optimistic about the next phase of her life. Over lunch at a Santa Monica bistro near her home, the flame-haired CSI star, casual in jeans and a soft corduroy jacket, spoke candidly about aging, cheating on her diet, and the true secret to her flawless skin.
Q From your start on Ryan’s Hope, to China Beach to CSI, you’ve been in the public eye a long time. Has the scrutiny ever made you feel self-conscious about how you look, especially as you age?
A Everyone has insecurities from time to time, you know…I don’t think I’m plagued by it, but obviously this is a town that’s filled with young, beautiful women (laughs). It’s easy if you allow yourself to go there. You can think, I’m just going to stay at home and watch TV and curl up. But I’m not that insecure that I get bummed out by it.
. . . . . .

1/22/10:CSI 10×12 Long Ball: “That’s a lot of technology for smackin’ golf balls.”
I went into this episode with a bit of doubt as to whether or not I would enjoy it. I am not a golf fan by any stretch, so going in, I felt that I was going to be watching just for Marg. Major props to the CSI writing team though because I thoroughly enjoyed ‘Long Ball’. Catherine giving Hodges a hard time throughout the episode was, by far, the highlight for me. I laughed out loud every time the two of them shared a scene: “See what you can accomplish when your pride is on the line.” Another entertaining moment for me was when Hodges and David were making jokes about the lack of a primary crime scene. The way Super Dave cowered when Catherine barked his name had me in stitches! Have I mentioned that Catherine rocks? All around great episode. If I had to rate it, I’d give it a 4 out of 5, deducting that one point just because Ray was the one to break the case yet again. Come on, Ray. I love you, but give someone else a chance, lol.
Okay, enough from me. On to the goodies! I have the following items available from Long Ball:
