Aside from hosting her own charity event, Marg has been actively involved with numerous charitable organizations in recent years. Highlights include:

• Served as co-host of the 17th Annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women in Los Angeles (2010).

• Participated in the Stand Up to Cancer televised benefit to raise funds for the fight against cancer (2008). Marg worked the phone lines taking calls from people who wanted to donate to the cause.

• Served as the celebrity emissary for The Nebraska Medical Center in 2007. Marg appeared with her mother in television public service announcements in which she urged everyone to get regular checks and preventive care such as mammograms and prostate checks

• Performed at What a Pair: A Celebration of Duets to Benefit Breast Cancer Research in 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009 (and hopefully for many years to come!).

• Hosted the 1st Annual World Bunco Association Championship Tournament in 2006. Proceeds from that event benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

• Received the Hope and Justice Award in 2005 for her work to help raise money for the Stuart House, part of the Rape Treatment Center at Santa Monica – UCLA Medical Center, in Southern California.

• Participated in “Life’s Not Still” Photo Exhibit and Auction, which benefits the Huckleberry Fund for the Adolescent Medicine division of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

• Participated in Pose for a Cause: Step Up For Yoga and Health Charity Festival, a charity festival dedicated to raising awareness and funds for ovarian/breast cancer and Peace 4 Kids (2004). Step Up Women’s Network is the parent organization for Step Up for Yoga.

• Served as Mistress of Ceremonies for the 9th Annual Voices of our Children Benefit for Penny Lane and was awarded the Blue Skies Award by that organization in 2004 to honor her work with them. She also serves as an honorary board member for them. Penny Lane provides services for abused, abandoned and neglected children.

• Participated in Ford’s ‘Tied to a Cause’ campaign, which raised over $1 million for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

• Participated in Shaqtacular VIII (2003), an event hosted by Shaquille O’Neal to support Athletes and Entertainers for Kids (AEFK), an organization whose mission is “to give disadvantaged children a fighting chance for a happy, productive life.”

• Participated in ‘A Time for Heroes’ to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation (2002)

• Participated in Women Rock! Girls & Guitars 3rd Annual Concert for The Fight Against Breast Cancer, 2002. Proceeds from this even benefited Lifetime Television’s ‘Stop Breast Cancer for Life’ Initative.

• Served as the celebrity spokesperson for the Susan G. Komen Los Angeles County Race for the Cure (2002). In addition to being the spokesperson, Marg and her mom, Kay, also took part in the 5K walk/run.

• Participated in the Lili Claire Foundation Benefit (2001, 2002). The Lili Claire Foundation is devoted to “helping children living with neurogenetic conditions, while providing hope and resources to the families who love them.”
