WATCH MARG PROMOTE THE LITTLE FOXES ON GOOD MORNING WASHINGTON

Here’s a short clip from Marg’s interview on Good Morning Washington earlier today. In this morning’s interview she talked about her role in The Little Foxes of course and then also gave a fun little demonstration of her skills as a weather girl. The GMW folks even pulled up a map of Nebraska for her to really take her back to her college summer job as a weather girl. Thanks to GMW for a great interview!

If you will be in the Washington D.C. area and are interested in seeing Marg in The Little Foxes, the show runs from September 29th through October 30th with previews starting September 23rd. You can purchase tickets at www.arenastage.org.

HELGENBERGER FOR HILLARY: MARG CANVASSES FOR HILLARY CLINTON IN OMAHA

One of the qualities I love about Marg is her passion when it comes to politics. She has been a vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton for President for months now on social media and has now taken her support one step further today in Omaha, Nebraska where she has been canvassing for Hillary. I’d be proud of Marg for doing this even if she wasn’t supporting my candidate, but I have to admit there’s an extra thrill in it for me that we’re both Team Hillary.

Here are some highlights that she shared on twitter and instagram this evening. (I’m not sure what’s going on with the image preview in the twitter embedded links, but click the links in her tweets for photos).

MARG IS THE VOICE OF WILLA CATHER IN NEW DOCUMENTARY

2015 is turning out to be quite a busy year for Marg. Here are some details from another new project that she has been working on. Thanks to Lee for the head’s up on this one.

From www.catherletters.org:

“‘Yours, Willa Cather’ is a 30-minute documentary inspired by the recently published Selected Letters of Willa Cather, edited by Andy Jewell and Janis Stout. There is also a companion iBook which features eleven letters, read by Nebraska-born actress Marg Helgenberger of China Beach and CSI fame.”

“In ‘Yours, Willa Cather,’ we hear a voice different from that of Willa Cather the great novelist. Instead we meet a person who is vulnerable, funny and at times, ruthless. A fascinating woman who thoroughly mastered the art of letter writing.”

“As the voice of Willa Cather, Marg Helgenberger has all the right credentials. She’s an Emmy Award-winner and Golden Globe nominee, recently seen as a Special Guest Star in a recurring role on the CBS series Under the Dome. And her roots are in Nebraska.”

The “Yours, Willa Cather” documentary premieres September 21 on NET in Nebraska.

Hopefully the documentary will become more widely available in the future, as I’m sure some of my fellow literature buffs would love to hear Marg read Willa Cather’s letters, but for now, here are some excerpts and you can listen to even more excerpts from the documentary at www.catherletters.org.
